Crush Walls

Crush Walls is an annual event that takes place in the RiNo (River North) neighborhood of Denver, CO. Every year, the city commissions both local and internally-renowned artists to paint the alleyways and large-scale walls with their latest inspirations: all using spray paint. I had the pleasure of documenting the progress of some of the murals in RiNo featuring: R0melle, Alexandra Pangburn, Pharaoh One, Brian Scott Hampton, and ESIC. I spent time with them all week getting to know their inspiration for their pieces, their mindset, and overall gratitude for being able to do what they love.

This has been my one of favorite projects thus far because I’ve been able to document the direct reflection of what is in the artist’s brain.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Romelle, Alexandra, Brian, and Zach. It’s moments like this and conversations with artists like you that remind me why I love storytelling through my lens. You are all so incredibly talented and so badass.
